Available in the form of a fully electric, subcompact off-roader, the Jeep Avenger is a crossover from one of the most famous names in off roading. Despite its small size, this is a vehicle that still commands big car presence, like the Jeep we all know and recognise.

It is also available as a hybrid and a 1.2 litre petrol version. There are 3 trim levels: Longitude, Altitude and Summit.

While the Avenger is not Trail Rated, it will still increase your off-roading capabilities beyond your typical compact EV, due to features including short overhangs and good ground clearance. It also boasts a Selec-Terrain system with modes for snow, mud and sand.

Inside, the Avenger feels very much like the larger Jeeps in the range, in terms of its commanding driving position and variety of useful storage options. It feels intuitive and adventurous to drive. It handles well with good agility for a compact crossover. It has a decent range and the ability to rapid charge at a respectable speed. Driving range should be maintained in cooler conditions through the heat pump that has been incorporated.

It is perfect for city driving, while its robust capabilities mean it's also capable of some outdoor adventures too.

Which cars are similar to a Jeep Avenger lease?

If you’re looking to compare vehicles similar to the Jeep Avenger, then it’s worth checking out the Ford Puma, Nissan Juke and Skoda Kamiq.

The Ford Puma is a similar car but the Avenger prioritises comfort, whereas the Puma reaches 0-62mph a bit quicker, (a Ford Puma 125 automatic takes 9.6 seconds to complete whereas the Avenger has a 0-62mph time of around 10.9 seconds).

The Nissan Juke is usually a bit more affordable than the Jeep Avenger but there isn’t a pure electric model on the market as of yet, only a hybrid version.

The Skoda Kamiq offers great value for money, practicality and good handling so is also worth looking at if you’re interested in a comparison between similar vehicles. The Skoda Kamiq is roomier than the Jeep in the back seats. However, there are only two engines in the Kamiq range, a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. There is no electric version.
