A guide to maintenance packages and what they include
Please be aware that the maintenance prices shown on Xcite Car Leasing are based on an average from across our funders. The actual cost of maintenance for your lease will be confirmed by one of our Leasing Consultants on your personalised quote.
A maintenance package or agreement is an additional option on a lease that covers servicing, tyres, MOTs and other maintenance work needed for the duration of your lease. Some packages also include breakdown assistance. Taking out a maintenance agreement lets you discuss and arrange everything by simply calling one phone number.
What is and isn’t covered varies between lease funders, and you can see a full breakdown for each further down this page. If you just want a general idea of what may be covered by adding a maintenance package to your lease, take a look below:
You can add a maintenance package any time during the order process until delivery is booked.
Please be aware that if you decide to add a maintenance package to your lease agreement and you've already signed finance contracts then these will need to be reissued. If you're a personal customer there'll be a new cooling off period based on when the new contracts are signed.
There are plenty of great reasons to add a maintenance package to your lease agreement. Check out our top ten below:
5. Mobile repairs: For some work, like replacement tyres, your funder may be able to arrange for mobile repairs as well.
6. Roadside assistance: Breakdown assistance is included with most maintenance packages. Take a look at your funder below to check if it's included as standard.
7. Regular payments: Monthly payments make it easier to budget.
8. Fixed cost: Your monthly payments will be a fixed price that you agree to when taking out the lease.
9. No big bills: The cost of services and maintenance will be spread across the duration of the lease, so you won’t get any large unexpected bills.
10. Personalised: There are no standardised costs. Each maintenance package is tailored to the lease taking into account the car model, lease length and annual mileage, so you'll only pay what you need to.

Please be aware that with most funders you'll need to contact them to arrange servicing and any maintenance work that's needed. You can find the servicing intervals for your specific model in the vehicle handbook or on the manufacturer's website.

You'll be able to find the servicing intervals for your specific model in the vehicle handbook or on the manufacturer's website. These will often be annually but it will depend on the model. Some cars may need to be serviced when they have covered a certain number of miles, but you’ll be able to check with the manufacturer or funder.
To take all of the hassle out of things, the price of the additional maintenance package will be included in your monthly payment amounts. Therefore, you’ll not need to worry about organising any additional payments.
As all of our leased cars are brand new, they won't require an MOT until they are 3 years old. If your lease is for more than 3 years and you have a maintained lease you won't need to worry about arranging an MOT, as you just need to call your lease provider and they’ll arrange everything for you.
There is no set cost for adding a maintenance package to your leasing deal. Each maintenance package is tailored to the specific lease taking into account the car model, lease contract length and annual mileage, so the exact amount will be agreed with you as part of the application process.
If you decide against adding a maintenance package to your lease deal, you'll be responsible for organising and paying for any maintenance or servicing costs. You’ll need to arrange servicing as per the recommended manufacturer guidelines, which you can find in the vehicle handbook or on the manufacturer’s website.
If you have any bumps and scrapes you’ll also need to ensure that any repairs are carried out in accordance with your leasing contract.
Whether you need a maintenance package or not will depend on whether you want the added peace of mind of being covered for maintenance and servicing costs in exchange for paying that little bit extra every month. You can discuss with us what the cost will be for maintenance on your chosen model, which will help you come to your decision. There are pros and cons for both sides, and it will depend on your personal circumstances and preferences.
Yes, all cars listed as available for lease will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. This will differ depending on the manufacturer, with some having higher warranties than others.
If you have a maintenance package included in your lease, you’ll be able to take it to any approved garages that your funder has authorised, which they will be able to share with you. All of these garages are tried and tested, meaning you can rest assured that your vehicle will be repaired to the highest standard.
