The 2026 model year continues to offer 3 distinct performance levels. The BMW M3 (Base) is the only version still available with a 6-speed manual transmission. It produces 473 hp and has a 0–60 mph time of 4.1 seconds.

The BMW M3 Competition features an 8-speed automatic with 503 hp and rear-wheel drive, reaching 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The BMW M3 Competition xDrive is the flagship model which uses all-wheel drive and 523 hp to achieve a 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) time of 3.5 seconds.
