1. Skoda Kodiaq

skoda kodiaq for 7 seater 2023

In the number one spot is the Skoda Kodiaq. It’s an award-winning large SUV with everything you’d need from a new car at an affordable price.

Skoda is a brand known for producing practical and reliable models and in recent years we’ve seen them become a stylish and affordable alternative to the big German manufacturers.

The Kodiaq offers drivers seven comfortable seats and the rear two seats can be folded down when not in use to give you a spacious 835-litre boot. With the seats up the cargo space is reduced to 270 litres, which is a bit of a jump down but not as much as some of the other cars on this list. And you can fit a roof box, or even tow a trailer for longer trips when you’ve got all seven seats filled.

One thing to note is that because the seats fold away adults might feel a little cramped in the rear two seats on longer journeys.

There are petrol and diesel engines available, with the 1.5-litre offering great fuel economy. Though if you’re thinking of towing a caravan or larger trailer, we recommend the 2-litre diesel option with four-wheel drive for the best drive.

There’s also range of trim levels for you to choose from, and if you’re interested in learning more about these and the cost of a Kodiaq then you should head over to our dedicated Kodiaq leasing page

2. Kia Sorento

kia sorento 7 seaters 2023

Our next pick is the Kia Sorento. We’ve chosen this as it’s one of the most affordable seven-seaters on the market but still offers plenty of space, safety features and four-wheel drive as standard across all models. One feature that really makes it stand out from the others is that both of the third row seats have Isofix mounting points so you can put child seats in any of the rear seats.

You’ll get a touchscreen infotainment centre, which pairs with your smartphone, rear parking sensors and all-wheel drive even on the entry-level model. Higher trim levels offer features like a trailer stability system, an electric tailgate, heated middle seats and much more.

There’s a range of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines for you to choose from, which makes the Sorento a really versatile choice as there’s an option for those who prioritise fuel economy, those who want to start their electric journey, those who want to tow and everyone in between. If you’re thinking of towing a caravan then we’d recommend the Sorento, specifically the 2.2-litre diesel engine as this offers you excellent power and stability when driving.

Kia offers a seven-year / 1,000 mile warranty on their vehicles which for drivers who are looking at leasing means this will cover you for the duration of your contract.

Think the Sorento is the best pick for you? Then why not take a look at our affordable leasing prices or give us a call on 0330 221 0000.

3. Audi Q7

audi q7 for 7 seaters 2023

If you’re looking for a car that combines style, performance and practicality then the Q7 is a great choice! It offers you a comfortable and roomy ride in all seven seats, high-quality interior finished to an excellent standard and a range of engines for you to choose from including a V6 that has 335 bhp for a thrilling driving experience.

Audi is a brand that’s known for producing premium models with lots of luxury touches and the Q7 is no exception, with a sleek interior that has touchscreen controls in the centre console and a digital cockpit that you can control to show the most relevant information for you.

One of the main selling points of a Q7 is that the car is all about comfort, and it really absorbs the bumps and jolts of speed bumps and potholes to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. This isn’t just for the front seats though, you’ll barely feel the road imperfections even in the rear two seats.

4. Peugeot 5008

peugeot 5008 for 7 seaters 2023

Like many brands in recent years, Peugeot has been expanding its range from the sensible hatchbacks it was originally known for into SUVs due to the higher demand for them over the years. We’ve really loved seeing Peugeot bring its understanding of family needs into the large car market and the 5008  showcases just how well they can do this. It’s an affordable seven-seater with a bold and stylish design that is ideal for drivers looking for a larger vehicle that looks great inside and out.

Unlike some of the other models on this list, the 5008 comes with seven seats as standard across the full range. The rear two seats can be folded away into the floor, or even removed entirely if you don’t need them for a long stretch of time. With the rear seats down, you get a very impressive 1060 litres of cargo space, which rivals the capacity of some small vans.

There’s a range of petrol and diesel engines available and even the 1.2-litre petrol engine manages to move this large car, with seven on board, quickly.

If you want to find out more about the Peugeot 5008 then why not head over to our leasing page for more information and all of our excellent leasing deals.

5. Volvo XC90

volvo xc90 for 7 seaters 2023

Volvo is a brand known for safety and it has a long history of innovation that helps keep your family safe to this day. It was Volvo who developed the three-point seatbelt used to this day by all car manufacturers, and they were the first to create a car seat specifically designed to keep children safe. So, it’s no wonder that we included their seven-seat XC90 model in our top picks. You’ll get a spacious and safe SUV with plenty of safety features as standard.

With all seven seats engaged, you’ll still get 356 litres of space in the boot, which grows to 1007 litres when you put the rear row down and up to 1856 litres with the rear two rows down making it a great choice if there are times when you have more cargo than passengers to carry.

There’s plenty of space for an adult to fit comfortably in all seven seats, though they might feel a little squished on longer journeys in the rear two seats.

If you’re looking for a seven-seater with a hybrid option then the T8 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is a great choice. It offers you up to 31 miles of pure electric range. There are both petrol and diesel models available as well, so you can choose the best version for you.

6. BMW X7

BMW x7 7 seaters 2023

As a brand BMW is known for producing cars that are fun to drive, and they have managed to maintain the thrill of driving with their larger and more practical models like the X7.

As the largest car BMW offers, the X7 weighs around 2.5 tonnes, which means it’s not the most agile of cars but it does handle itself well, even when cornering thanks to the four-wheel drive, and this will be just as useful in the city as it is the country.

BMW currently offers the X7 in three engine options, 40i petrol, M60i petrol and the 40d diesel. You’ll be able to choose the best engine for you. For example, drivers who cover a large distance will probably want the diesel model, whereas if you’re just using it to chauffeur the children around town a petrol engine will be better for you.

Why not check out our fantastic leasing deals to see if an X7 is the right car for you?

7. Land Rover Discovery

land rover discovery for 7 seaters 2023

Land Rover is a prestigious British brand that is known for creating large off-roaders and the Discovery is one of their most popular models.

It’s one of the few seven-seaters in Land Rover’s range but its size doesn’t detract from its capability and you’ll find it just as reliable off-road as it is on the road.

Since it first came on the market in the late 1980s the Discovery has been through several updates to maintain its class leading performance, update the technology and improve driver safety and comfort features. Today’s Discovery has a polished finish with plenty of luxury touches, even on the entry model, that really gives it a premium feel.

Seven adults will fit into the Discovery comfortably, and they’ll remain comfortable no matter the terrain thanks to the air suspension, which comes as standard across all models.

If you’re looking for a seven-seater that you can take green laning then the Discovery will be the best option for you.

8. Mercedes-Benz GLB

Mercedes glb for 7 seater 2023

Mercedes GLB is an excellent option if you’re after a premium seven-seater that is packed with those luxury touches that we’ve come to expect from the brand. It’s a stylish yet practical option for those who need the room of a larger vehicle but don’t want to compromise on looks.

Mercedes has given the GLB a unique boxier design, which makes it stand out from the crowd without feeling clunky. The interior is just as stylish with it CONT

The third row of seats folds all the way down into the floor, giving you a functional boot space. However, when they’re raised you’ll find there’s very little room for cargo.

You’ll be able to choose from two petrol or two diesel engines that all come with an automatic gearbox as standard. Depending on the engine you go for the GLB comes in two-wheel and four-wheel drive.

9.  Dacia Jogger

dacia jogger for 7 seaters 2023

Dacia is a brand that’s known for creating affordable and reliable models, so it’s little surprise that their seven-seater made it into our top picks. The Jogger is a sensible seven-seater that’s full of practical touches and provides a comfortable ride at an affordable price.

Despite its affordability you’ll get plenty as standard in the Jogger including features like cruise control. There are several trim levels to choose from that let you can upgrade the features with options like keyless entry and heated seats.

There’s only one engine option on the Jogger which is the 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine, but this offers 108 bhp and can achieve 49 mpg making it a good all-rounder.

The Jogger is a great choice for those who want an affordable seven-seater and we’ve got some amazing lease deals if you want to see how cheaply you could get it for.

10. Hyundai Santa Fe

hyundai santa fe for 7 seaters 2023

The final car to make our top ten is the Hyundai Santa Fe. It combines everything that you look for in a seven-seater: space, passenger comfort, convenience and safety tech and reasonable running costs.

There’s plenty of features that make driving safer and easier for you, from the head-up display through to the surround-view camera. You’ll be able to choose the best trim level and options for your driving needs, and if you have any questions about the different specs then our team would be happy to help.

Hyundai is offering diesel and both self-charging and PHEV hybrid models. The PHEV offers you up to 36 miles of electric-only powered range, whilst the self-charging hybrid will provide you with an extra boost at critical moments. One thing to be aware of is that the hybrid won’t be able to tow the same weight as the pure diesel engine so if towing is important to you then we recommend the diesel model.

If you’d like to get a Santa Fe for yourself then take a look at our dedicated Santa Fe leasing deals page.
